Anti-Ragging Policy

MRN Institute of Nursing Sciences, Navanagar, Bagalkot, is firmly committed to providing a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment for all students. The institution follows a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging in any form. Ragging is strictly prohibited both inside and outside the campus, including hostels, classrooms, clinical areas, and all other associated facilities.

In compliance with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC), Indian Nursing Council (INC), Karnataka Nursing Council (KNC), and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bengaluru, the college has constituted an Anti-Ragging Committee and Anti-Ragging Squad. These bodies are responsible for monitoring student behavior, preventing incidents of ragging, and taking strict disciplinary action whenever necessary.

The institution ensures that all newly admitted students and their parents/guardians are made aware of the anti-ragging regulations at the time of admission. Every student is required to submit an undertaking declaring that they will not engage in or encourage ragging. Awareness programs, orientation sessions, and continuous monitoring are conducted to reinforce the importance of maintaining a healthy and respectful academic culture.

Any student found guilty of ragging will face immediate disciplinary action, which may include suspension, expulsion, or legal proceedings, as per the directives of UGC and the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
